This is what we've come to

My 4 year old son spent this afternoon PictoChatting with his 5 year old sister. Now for those of you that do not know what that is (trust me, even I wasn't 100% sure). This is Nintendo's definition of PictoChat:

"Keep in constant contact with your friends with PictoChat -- a wireless chat program that's built into the Nintendo DS. With PictoChat, up to 16 people per chat room can link over a wireless connection and chat and swap drawings all they want. Simply hand-write words or draw pictures on the Nintendo DS touch screen, and then send them to your friends. You can even copy someone else's message, edit it, add to it and send it back. Draw, doodle, share ideas or do anything else you can think of -- dreaming up new ways to use PictoChat is half the fun."

He bought that Nintendo DS you see pictured with his very own money this past Sunday. I got tired of listening to him fight with his sisters over theirs.

This kid just continues to amaze me with how technical the world is becoming. He gets on the internet everyday---usually to play PBS Kids or Webkinz. He can put a DVD in and start it with the remote all by himself. He even knows how to use my Ipod! I know this is the way the world is going, but if he keeps learning at this pace there is no way in Hell that I'll be able to keep up with him.
