Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta

This week, I have been using my family as guinea pigs while I try out some new recipes. I've been in a cooking rut lately and am getting tired of the same old things. Fortunately, the kids have been good sports. Everyone liked this dish and two of the kids had second helpings.

Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta

1 pound ground beef
8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
6 bacon strips, diced
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
2/3 cup barbecue sauce
1 Tablespoon mustard

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain . Cook Bacon and dice. I used microwave/already cooked bacon, that I just had to heat up for 10-20 seconds. Drain pasta; add to ground beef in the skillet. Stir in the soup, bacon, barbecue sauce, and mustard; heat through. I also added some onion powder and garlic powder for taste. Lower heat and add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Enjoy!
