Frustrated beyond belief

I truly believe our school nurse is incompetent! I have spent a very frustrating 3 days trying to get answers--only to get the runaround. It started on Monday, but I didn't get the details in full until Wednesday. This is how it Played out: R wasn't feeling good at lunch. Went to the school clinic. No fever, so the nurse sent her back to class. R went to art. Threw up in the Art closet sink, in front of several classmates. Classmates tell the Substitute teacher what happened. Sub sends R back to the clinic. R is there for awhile. Nurse calls Sub and asks if he saw her throw up. Supposedly an Adult has to witness this--in order for action, which is total BS to me. Sub didn't see it, Sub found out through other children. So Nurse sends R back to class!!!! Once she's back in class, R throws up again!! Through all of this, not one call was made to me to let me know that R was in the clinic! I am beyond pissed. The first call home was at the end of the day when the school didn't want to put R on the bus. So she was sick for about 3 hours before anyone called! I have talked to the Principal Twice, The nurse, and just moments ago the Nursing Supervisor for the School District. I want to know, when it clearly states on the district website:

What happens if my child gets sick at school... ?
A. Students who become ill at school are sent to the clinic or office (if the clinic is closed). A child may be allowed to rest until feeling better. If the child has a fever of 100 degrees or higher, vomits, or has persistent diarrhea, the clinic will contact the parent/guardian or alternates listed on the Emergency Contact Form to come to school to take the student home.

Why I did not get a call home when my daughter first vomited!

First off I'm impressed your school has a nurse!

That would frustrate me very badly. If you kiddo is sick, they don't need to be at school.

Did you talk to the principal?

Hey Mary! Yep, talked to the principal twice, nurse once, and the nursing supervisor once. I'm waiting to hear back from her. However, the other day--McKenna had to some issues in the bathroom. The nurse called me "ASAP!" I think I have her trained! ;)
